This has undoubtedly been an exciting week for EARJ! On Tuesday, April 12thwe had the elections for the new members of the Student Council. All high school students - plus 8th graders, who will be part of HS next year - were invited to participate in the 2022-2023 member selection, where amazing speeches were delivered by the contenders. Results were published by the former STUCO president, Maria Eduarda Chaves, today morning. We would like to congratulate Pedro Meerbaum, Arthur Struchiner, Fernanda Pinheiro, Eduardo Rengifo and Luisa Farelo!
Moreover, EARJ is also happy to announce that this year’s Big 8 pep rally will happen this Thursday (04/14). The participating Barra athletes will be going to the Gávea Campus through school-offered transportation while the rest of the student body will be watching the entire ceremony through a live stream of the event. As per the Little 8 athletes, their ceremony will take place on the 29th here in Barra. We are happy to announce that all athletes competing in Big 8 will be heading to Acampamento Nosso Recanto (NR) this Sunday to finally display all the hard work they’ve been putting into their morning and after-school practices.
Further, Panther Press is organizing an official Editorial Contest that is meant for the entire EARJ Middle School. It will take place between April 13th and May 6th, so don't forget to submit your entries within the deadline! We believe that this is a great opportunity for you to explore your passions and express your views on topics that interest you. Not to mention that we have prepared a great award for the grand winner! Do not lose this opportunity and contact your English teacher or advisor for further information.
Let’s all give our congratulations to the new members of EARJ STUCO, and wish the best of luck to both the athletes that will be competing in NR and the Middle Schoolers who will be participating in this exciting contest!
