Are Canteen's Prices Fair?

Study, study, study. This is what many students spend several hours of the day doing. Studying to make sure you will have a good future. But to achieve this valuable goal you need to keep an eye on your health, especially in good nutrition.

Proper nutrition can influence sleep, mood, anxiety control and, especially, learning. These factors directly contribute to one’s performance at school.

At school, there is this canteen, which we kindly call "snack shack". Several students, including myself, are not satisfied with its high prices, and are complaining about them.

So, here is my question: are they fair? The products offered tehre seem to be healthier and all that, but are their costs fair?

“Last year, I could buy 2 things with R$ 10, and now with the same amount I can only buy certain items.Even though they say the food is organic, healthier and all that, I don't honestly believe it is worth buying snakcs here. I do sometimes when I'm hungry, and because it is my only option here, sadly” says Sofia Zhang, 8th grader.

It is true that organic food costs more than regular one, but is it that much? I don't think this is the right way to encourage students to choose to eat healthy food. Something else to keep in mind is the waste. With prices that high, very few people in school will buy the canteen products, and at the end of the day, they will all go to trash.
