BRICS' purposes and actions

In June of 2006, there was a meeting where the following countries; Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa; came up with the idea of creating a system, so they could help each other economically in order to improve their development. Then, the group BRICS was created, with this acronym where each letter stands for a different country in it.

According to www.worldatlas.com, what makes a countrydeveloped are the details, if people go to college and graduate there, if most people can go to schools with good education, if it has a developed economy, an advanced technology, and many more qualities. In order to get there, the BRICS countries work together to help each other thrive. The group has a very strong economic treat to help each other achieve the expected development.

Even with the treat, this year, China broke the code with Brazil. The Chinese president Xi Jinping affirmed that China was offended by something president Bolsonaro said about their government. As a consequence, China now buys the resources it used to buy from Brazil, from other countries. For example, now China buys oranges from the United States, a country that is not even part of BRICS.

This year, Brazil will be hosting the BRICS summit. "Brazil specially has a great deal at stake since 30,7% of our exports are headed to BRICS countries", says Ms. Marina Procopio, US Social Studies teacher.

The BRICS system purpose is cooperation, and if they are not in fact together to accomplish the group and their individual goals, as a country, they may not succeed.
