The World Health Organization recognizes that “health is a state of complete (…) well-being
and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” Inspired by this claim and an interest in the science of mindfulness, I founded a new service-based club at the start of the year.
The Well-Being Club is a student-led group ideating and conducting activities that promote the well-being of people. Our scope is vast and I intend to periodically adjust our objectives according to the interests of the members. In this semester, we are focusing on the theme of stress through a mindfulness-based approach. For this, we will participate in an upcoming event called “Health Week” and organize mindfulness workshops after school.
Through projects like these, the club is a meaningful way for its members to engage with their community. If you have any questions or would like to join us, we would be glad to talk to you. You may contact us at llundgren@earj.com.br
