Managing School and Social Life

It’s late at night and you are studying for a test. All of the sudden you get a text message from your friend. Should you answer the text? Or should you keep on studying? If you have ever been in this situation, this article is for you. Focusing on your school life isn’t always easy if you have a busy social life. Here you will find some tips to help you manage both:

1. Keep an updated schedule. This is a great way to make use of the calendar app on your phone, so when you have to turn something in, it gives you a notification.

2. Work ahead, don't leave your work for the last minute, do it as soon as you get it, so you have more free time and don’t have to worry about handing in your work. Maybe do your homework on weekdays and go out with your friends on the weekends.

3. Get a good night's sleep. If you come to school tired, you won’t be able to concentrate on anything the teacher is saying.

4. Prioritize Your Work. It is the future of your career of what you want to do, and good grades makes your chances of getting into better universities higher.

5. Make Time for Yourself, so you can catch up with your friends and go out with them on your free time.

6. Resist temptations to get on your phone, and go on social media, if you are doing homework. The sooner you finish, the more free time you will have.

7. Take good care of yourself

8. Pick and choose which parties (and people) are worth your time. This step will help you make the most of your social time. Then you will know when you will have time to go to parties.

9. Make your study time enjoyable (maybe with your friends).

10. Be Social! Instead of being on the computer and on your phone, go out with your friends! Maybe go to the beach together or to the movies!

Hopefully, after following all these steps you will be able to manage social and school life better. You will be able to be more organized. Now you can spend time with friends without having to worry about school work.
