Magic. Mystery. Madness. The new Dr. Strange movie provides you with an inexplicable cinematic experience, filled to the brim with twists you’d never expect. It continues the story of Stephen Strange, a sorcerer responsible for destroying the multiverse after casting a forbidden spell, who has to seek help from a team of unlikely heroes - including Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. However, the threats that emerge may be too great for them to manage. It is a story of growth, of managing power and relationships, all while reality and fantasy merge into one colossal blur.
The cast is incredibly chosen, with its protagonists, Wanda and Stephen, being played by Elizabeth Olsen and Benedict Cumberbatch. Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, and Chiwetel Ejiofor are all starring, and the film serves as the debut for the 16-year-old Xochitl Gomez, playing America Chavez. The characters are not only all fantastically constructed, but become very dear to the viewer's hearts, each facing their own dilemmas while exploring a greater issue: the fracturing of the multiverse. Be prepared for the unexpected, since multiple beloved comic book characters are coming to life in this new movie, each one complimenting the insanity of this spectacular film.
After the show-stopping Spiderman - No Way Home, expectations were high for the next Marvel release - and it is possible to verify that they have been completely fulfilled. Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is one surreal experience. Be prepared to cheer, laugh, cry, and have your heart broken and fixed multiple times by the fantastic characters. Be prepared to be completely immersed in the screenplay and special effects. Be prepared to "every night, dream the same dream and every morning the same nightmare" with Wanda and Stephen. Be prepared to feel and experience everything at once.
Be prepared.
