The Book City: Bienal

This Bienal Internacional do Livro is for you if you appreciate reading. The Bienal do Livro Rio, the country's largest literary festival, tickets began selling online last Thursday. This year's 20th edition has already confirmed over 80 publishers, in addition to authors, literary artists, and booksellers. People above the age of 12 will only be allowed in if they have proof of immunization.


It is required to arrive up to one hour before the conclusion of the shift, and admittance after this period is not permitted. If the event organizers are required to minimize attendance for reasons connected to the pandemic, the visitor may be asked to wait for the decrease in attendance in the space to gain entrance to the event.


This year, various prominent figures in literature are attending, including Julio Emilio Bras who in 20 visited EARJ. Julio Emlio Braz has written over a hundred novels for children and young people, the vast majority of which deal with social issues, particularly those affecting children and adolescents.


Another major author attending This Bienal Internacional do Livro is Itamar Vieira Junior. Itamar Vieira Junior is a contemporary author who wrote the novel “Torto Arado” which brought him to fame. “Torto Arado” is a story about the Bibiana and Belonsia sisters and an enchanted entity, female voices that express collective and troubled memories of racial, social, and gender inequality and injustice, as well as the ancestral resistances of the quilombola peoples, their challenges.


Many more important figures will be attending this event. It begins December 3, 2021 to December 12. The first invites attending December 3 from 17:00 are Allan Dias Castro, Braulio Bessa and Priscilla Alcantara. This opportunity is not only for book lovers, but also for people who enjoy learning about culture because this event will allow everyone to explore in depth brasilien literature and the amazing authors behind it.
