Technology is taking over our planet. Some people find it useful and others don't. Of course technology helps people accomplish many things that without it wouldn't be possible. On the other hand technology is ruining our lives.
People use technology every single day. According to the 2016 statistics (imagine 5 years later!) from CTIA, Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association, in the U.S.A. 93% of the population have cell phones, and in Brazil 64% do. Almost every teenager has a cell phone stuck in their hand, keeping them from interacting and actually being with whom they love.
Cell phones and other devices are efficient when specific information is needed. To access a site, to research something that people don't know it comes in handy, or in case of emergency. But beyond the helpful and beneficial points, people should use their time hanging with other real people, or playing sports. Being away of their devices is a big challenge nowadays. Live it to the fullest and don't spend so many hours in front of a piece of glass.
Virtual friends are from the internet but if the internet didn't exist, neither wouldn't these friends. when meeting someone online, keep in mind that some people lie about their personality and how they looks. The point is these relationships may not be true. The internet can be also dangerous, an adult can fake his identity and pretend he's a kid to be friends with you, and he kidnaps you. Turns out it’s important to let your parents know whom you usually chat.
"It takes maturity, honestly and organizational skills to deal with all this technology around us in a smart positive way", says Ms. Erika Soares.
