The book The Power of the Now written by Ekhart Tolle approaches interesting themes related to the human mind and introduces various ways in which humans can be more present in their daily lives.

As time passes, society is becoming more stressed and overwhelmed with their own lives which increases the rate of mental disorders in the population. This is the reason why this book is a great way to understand why certain feelings related to anxiety and depression may surge and why it is important to acknowledge such feelings in order to live a better life. It talks about the difficulties that people face to focus on their present moment as everyone is constantly thinking about the future or mourning about past situations. Both of these situations cause anxious and upsetting feelings and this is why it is so important to understand the concept of living in the now.

As the book explores this concept more in depth, it is possible to see that knowing how to be more present can actually have a positive impact in the daily life of the population.
